Tree Trimming Guidelines
STEP 1:
Trim low branches away from building and roof.
Prevents moisture retention, which can cause rot and shingle damage. Discourages animals from accessing the roof.

Thin the core of the tree.
Removes unnecessary branches from the central part of the canopy. Good for sunlight penetration, and allows wind to blow through the tree, resulting in less damage in a storm.
STEP 3:
Raise low branches.
Allows easier access under tree for lawn mowing, etc.
STEP 4:
Remove any dead, hazardous or storm-damaged branches.
STEP 5:
Remove any crossed or rubbing branches.
